Why do we need a strong skeletal system?
The skeletal system bears the weight of the body through out life. It acts as a hinge and withstands various pressures through different kind of activities like running, lifting, playing , excess work etc.
Stronger the bones are, they are better able to withstand mechanical stress and reduce the risk of injuries that are associated with constant activities. Weakened skeletal system leads to many chronic conditions like chronic joint pains, ligament injuries , osteoporosis, easily fracture of bones , disc prolapses etc.The skeletal system can be compared to the outer frame work of a car. A car needs both a solid metal frame and an efficient engine system to work efficiently and provide durability for a long time. One can argue, the engine is more important than the other but the experience would be totally different if you had a strong framework. It is the quality of our health that defines the experience of our living on earth. It is time for us to chose if we want our life’s experience in a Mercedes car or in a worn-out car.
